Hey Earth... It's your Day!

I feel like this is the most low key Earth day I've seen in a while. I suspect it's due to it not being a popular go to charity cause anymore. Sad really, but everyday should be Earth day. We only have one and we need to take care of it. Today my son and I basked out in the sun at a splash pad and enjoyed what the Earth offers us!

Go outside today, plant a flower, pick up some trash, breathe in the air. There are so many things you can do just to say "thank you Earth, thank you for giving me this place to live!"!

Also check out some of my favorite eco-friendly things (in no particular order):

1.
While I have my issues with Lush, they do provide Natural fresh cosmetics! Ocean salt makes your skin feel Ah-Maz-Ing... "Washing with Ocean Salt is like taking your face on a trip to the seaside for an invigorating splash in the water. We mix in fresh avocado and coconut to hydrate thirsty skin, while the antibacterial effects of lime and vodka is ideal for blocked pores, blackheads or blemishes. The minerals in sea salt soften as it scrubs away dirt and blockages."

2.
Now I love Jason Mraz, I have since I was in 7th or 8th grade. Throughout the years I learned about how much Jason loves the earth. He has an avocado farm at his house, he can serve me avocados anytime. He has a blog where he has posted recipes (including how to make a delicious chocolate avocado treat). PLUS, he recently set out on a tour and made it his green-est tour yet. How many celebrities do you know that genuinely care about taking care of the environment? He is one of them.

3.
Re-Usable Stainless Steel water bottles. This specific one is from a company called Earth Lust. I've never ordered from them, but I love the lotus flower on this bottle. There is no reason you should be using plastic water bottles in this day and age. Not only is it unhealthy for you but it's toxic to our environment as well. This bottle will run you about $16 but you can use it forever.

I'll take Jason Mraz with the stainless steel water bottle in the bathroom (using ocean salt). Oh he's not the killer just helping the environment. See you could even make an eco friendly version of clue. Whatever you do today to celebrate the Earth make it meaningful, try to make it a part of your every day life and if you have little ones make sure they understand the importance of doing what we can to conserve what we have!
